Sorry about the mess, folks. In the process of doing some development on the site system, I've miffed up a ton of links that likely created a slew of 404/page-not-found errors. Ugh. Unfortunately, it had to be done as I did extensive testing to be sure my new linking system worked like I want it. Good news: I think it's all working as I want it to. Maybe-bad news: I'm not sure if I'm done with all the testing. Until I get the thing fully, thoroughly, unquestioningly tested, I won't really feel comfortable unleashing the full batch of content I have waiting to go online! That means a bit more waiting... sorry, again. So, I'm imploring you to have more patience with me. I have a lot of other work to do that will maybe drag all this out past the weekend. Thus, I might have to leave things alone for now and get back at it starting next week. Yuck. The site is a mess right now, with a bunch of missing content, the forums are offline, and the arcade's theme is horribly broken! Again.. really sorry. Anyway, the high scores are working for the few games that are online now! Wheee!! So, snag an account if you don't already have one and get in there, eh??!? (By the way, if you didn't know yet, anyone with an old www.PointlessGames.com account should have an active account here! I'm the same guy, so don't worry -- nobody sold your info. I just moved the old Pointless Games site into this new domain.) Enough chatter... I need to sleep. |

Update: I know the games that were here before are currently gone.. sorry 'bout that. I had to remove them for now since they weren't working properly. I'll either put them back online soon, or we'll be doing without them and getting all new games. If there's a favorite game you were playing, I'd love to hear about it -- I'll try to get that game back in here as soon as possible. Send me an email using this form. (yeah, I know that's on my other site, but I don't have a contact form live here yet... sorry, but hey, deal with it. :P -----original post:----- Yeah, yeah.. I know: "here we go again with the upgrades!" Sheesh. I keep doing all this work on the back-end of the site, but I keep not getting to the "major game updates coming soon!!!" part. Well, that's really going to change this time. I'm just working out a few more kinks with this system and I should be able to get a ton of games online right after that. I know the site doesn't look much (any?) different to those of you who've been dropping by recently, but trust me... behind the scenes, there are major system upgrades that will help a lot of things for the future of our site. Oh, I'm sure this will make some enemies, but hopefully not too many. This is a long overdue event -- the total resetting of all high scores at Flash Game Post. Woot! The scores that were in the database go way back many years, back when this site was www.PointlessGames.com . Since we've taken over the general arcade duties from the Pointless Games site, we figure it's a good idea to get started clean. There are certain games that I will be recording for some sort of All Time High Score list of some sort. I haven't figured out how I'll do it just yet, so I'll just have to hang onto the data for now. The main game I care about is The Idiot Button . I even have scores for that game going back around 5 years! There have been a lot of idiots in 5 years (or more -- I can't even remember when I made that game. So if you've always wanted to get on the score boards, now's a great chance! I might do a periodic reset just to keep things fresh, but I haven't decided about that whole issue just yet. I just don't think it's any fun for someone to be in the top spot for several years, ya know?? Well, have fun and good luck!! |

Hooray!! What a relief to finally get this arcade system working! Sheesh... that was a long road. The new Online Game Arcade at Flash Game post is now live. You can either log in or create a new account and many of the games will allow you to save your highest scores to your account! There are still some of the games that should be saving scores, but aren't working for some reason. I think I'd rather just let you play for now and I'll fix that stuff later. So, get in there and play! I'll have to add new games later, since I'm pretty tired. Hopefully you're not too sick of these games yet (many of you have been playing the same games for years!.. sorry about that.) Soon, I'll unleash a torrent of games and you'll be begging for mercy. :P So far, here are the categories with the first set of games: |

New theme getting sorted out -- hope you like it! I'm still working on getting a few theme things resolved that were causing various display issues. I hope to have it squared away soon. I'll be adding a slew of games as soon as I'm comfortable with the arcade system... for now, scores aren't saving for some (irritating) reason, for instance.
